I know there was a lot of chatter about Kanye West being noticeably absent from tonight’s Grammy Awards, but there was another Chicagoan, who was actually in attendance, that won right alongside of him.

Rash chops it up with TV Guide as he arrives at the 2010 Grammys. Unfortunately, UMC did not bring home any awards.

Common and Chicago-nightlife empresario Billy Dec on the red carpet. UMC, which came out in 08, is up for rap album of the year.

Mikkey Halsted brings out Freddie Gibbs to perform their Maja 7th-produced track “On My Own”, during Mikk’s set at Leaders of the New Cool in Los Angeles last Tuesday. Also, last night DJ MoonDawg, who was filling in for Timbuck2 on WGCI’s Go ILL Radio premiered “On My Own” and ran it back three times. Shouts to MD for that.
