My First Taylor Concert Earlier This Year. What An Experience!

My wife snagged tickets to Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour in Singapore last year, and I couldn't have been more excited. I've been jamming to Tay's songs for years but never had the chance to see her live—until now.

The big day finally arrived (8th of Mar), and we were pumped to join the hype at the National Stadium. When we found our seats, a group of teenagers next to us was already dancing to Sabrina Carpenter's opening set. We were a bit reserved at first, but once Taylor hit the stage, we were all in, especially during her epic 10-minute performance of the iconic “All Too Well.” Jake Gyllenhaal might have a different take, though.

I was really looking forward to two songs, “Love Story” and “You Belong With Me,” which were performed early on. Even though I knew other hits like “Shake It Off,” I spent most of the concert soaking in the incredible production. Unlike the fans who knew every lyric and sang along at the top of their lungs, I was mesmerized by the storytelling and the spectacle.

Taylor is such a brilliant writer and performer that even if I didn't know the songs, I was captivated. I loved listening to the stories behind the music and watching the production unfold. The stage effects and lighting synced perfectly with the music, making the whole experience transcendent—especially for loyal Swifties.

Taylor herself is a force of nature. She dances, plays, sings flawlessly, and radiates beauty, especially when she interacts with her thousands of fans. She still gets overwhelmed by the applause, sometimes not even realizing people are cheering for her. It's hard not to love Taylor, and her Singapore concert showcased not only her talent but also her amazing personality.

Even though I'm not a hardcore Swiftie, I left the concert thoroughly impressed. Swifties already know what to expect from her shows, but if you're a casual fan like me, you're in for an unforgettable time. As Taytay says at the beginning of her concert, let her take you on a journey through 10 years of music.
